No more power-up items. Instead we get the following ‘armor abillities’

Active Camo:

If you’ve played Halo before, you’ll no doubt be familiar with this. Now as well as making you less visible, it also jams radar signals to everyone near by inlcuding yourself.

Pros: Makes you semi-invisible.

Cons: Enemies with a close eye on their radar will know you’re around somewhere.

Armor Lock:

When activated you crouch down, punch your fist to the ground and let out a force-field surrounding yourself making you invincible. If held down long enough an electromagnetic pulse is let off that causes an area of effect damage around you.

Pros: If you have a friend to watch your back, they can take anyone in close range to you. Perfecting the timing of this in a close battle can give you a massive advantage to heal up and take revenge.

Cons: If there’s a sniper who has spotted you shielding, soon as it’s gone they’ve got an easy target.

Evade (Elite) / Sprint (Spartan):

Again if you’ve played Halo you’ll be familiar with Elites rolling off and evading you.
Similar to the Elite’s evade, sprint allows your Spartan to gain extra speed for a short time.

Pros: Sneak up on unsuspected victims, avoid fire by dashing into cover.

Cons: Quickly runs out and takes time to re-charge.

Jet Pack:

One of the most exciting armor abilities in my opinion the jet pack allows you to propel you high into the air.

Pros: Allows you to reach places others can’t, fly down on unsuspected enemies. Using it sparingly you can travel effeciently around the level.

Cons: Leaves you very exposed when high up in the air.
