Halo 3: ODST returns players to familiar ground on a vital, top-secret mission. The gripping story, cooperative campaign and new multiplayer content will have Halo fans “Preparing to Drop” in Fall 2009. Originally titled Halo 3: Recon, the new game brings the perspective of new characters to the Human-Covenant struggle, as it explores the ODST, or Orbital Drop Shock Troopers.
ODSTs: Follow the story of the legendary ODSTs or Orbital Drop Shock Troopers as they drop into the ruined city of New Mombasa, looking for clues behind the Covenant’s catastrophic attack on the city.
A new hero: Prepare to drop. Known for their courage, valor and at times, insanity, Orbital Drop Shock Troopers are among the fiercest UNSC soldiers, priding themselves on being the first unit deployed into hostile situations. While not as large or supernaturally gifted as their Spartan comrades, these Hell Jumpers more than compensate with their ferocious attitudes and unwavering nerve.
Multiplayer: All the traditional features of Halo 3 multiplayer will be included in the new game, including full-featured integration with the Forge map editor.

Halo Wars is a strategy game based on the legendary Halo universe. In campaign mode, players will command the armies of the UNSC warship “Spirit of Fire,” consisting of familiar and new UNSC units in its initial encounters against the Covenant, an alien coalition threatening to obliterate mankind.
With the guidance of Serina, a spirited A.I. persona, gamers will direct legions of UNSC soldiers, Warthogs, Scorpions and more, each group having its own strengths and uses in battle. Adventurous commanders can also call upon ancient Forerunner technology, if they are fortunate enough to find it hidden throughout the battlefield.
Covenant forces are also waiting for players to lead them into battle in multiplayer skirmishes via the New Xbox Experience. Call upon an arsenal of new and familiar Covenant units such as Grunts, Elites, Ghosts and even Scarabs to defeat foes on the battlefield. Strategic-minded players who react well under pressure will emerge victorious.

Join the crew aboard the Spirit of Fire, a Phoenix-class colony ship converted for UNSC military use, and guided by the A.I. persona Serina. The big one! As well as everything in the normal and limited edition you also receive an impressive 10-pound, 10-inch statue of the Noble Team the heros of Halo: Reach. The statue is hand painted and numbered.
An exclusive in game Spartan Armor (which is rumoured to be the Bungie flaming helmet!!).
All this packaged in a UNSC-themed box.
So which to get?! In short if you have never played Halo, Halo: Reach will be a great place to start and without investing too much you can get to see what all the fuss is about with the normal game.
If you’ve played Halo before you’ll probably most likely not be satisfied with the normal edition and want something extra. The Limited edition pack is great and comes with a whole host of extras to satisfy those needs.
Legendary edition… If like me you are true Halo fan and have been a fan of Bungie’s mastery in so many aspects of gaming and have followed them throughout the entire Halo series then this one’s for you. Ok it’s more expensive but a small price to pay for all the hard work and dedication that they’ve put in over the past 10 years. Time to move the legendary Halo 3 helmet over a bit and have it watched over by the Noble Team.
